A plosive consonant is a sound made by putting your mouth in a certain position, like closing your lips or putting your tongue to the roof of your mouth, and then pushing air out quickly. It's like when you want a balloon to make a sound, you need to press the air out really quickly so the balloon makes a POP sound.
