ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Plumber

A plumber is like a doctor for your house's water and pipes. Just like how a doctor takes care of people's bodies, a plumber takes care of pipes and drains that help water flow in and out of your house.

When you turn on a faucet or flush the toilet, the water has to go somewhere, and the pipes help it get there. Over time, the pipes can get clogged or break down, and that's where a plumber comes in to fix the problem.

Plumbers use special tools and equipment to solve problems with pipes and drains. They use wrenches to tighten nuts, pliers to grip and pull out stubborn things stuck in the pipes, and even cameras to look inside pipes to see what's going on.

They can also install new pipes or fixtures like sinks, toilets, and showerheads.

Just like a doctor, a plumber needs to study and learn a lot to be able to do their job well. So, if you have a problem with your house's water or pipes, call a plumber and they'll help fix it!
