ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Poisson bracket

Okay, imagine you have lots and lots of marbles in a big jar. Each marble represents something called a "variable" or a little piece of information you want to keep track of. Now picture putting your hand in the jar and picking out two marbles at a time, let's call them "A" and "B".

The way those two marbles interact with each other is called the "Poisson bracket". It's like a special rule that helps us figure out how A and B change over time based on each other.

So, let's say A is the height of a tree and B is the amount of sunshine it gets. We might use the Poisson bracket to help us figure out how changes in sunshine (B) affect the tree's growth (A) over time.

Now, this can get pretty complicated with lots of variables and different Poisson brackets, but the basic idea is that it just helps us understand how different things affect each other over time.
