Phase space

Phase space is a way of thinking about lots of different pieces of information that can change over time. Think of a table with lots of columns, each one representing something different (eg. temperature, speed, etc). For each thing, you have a value that is changing over time. Now imagine a graph with each column of the table as one of the lines along the graph. This graph shows how each of the things on the table are changing over time. This graph is called the phase space.
