Okay kiddo, do you know what a march is? It's when a group of people walk together, usually for a special reason. Now, have you heard of someone named Pola? She was a famous woman from Japan who liked to march too!
One time, a long time ago, there were some very important people in Japan who were making bad choices. Pola didn't like those bad choices, and she wanted to do something to show them that she didn't agree with them. So, she decided to organize a march with some of her friends, and they all walked together with signs and chants to say, "Hey, we don't like what you're doing!"
But, it wasn't just any regular march. Pola's march was special because it was almost 600 miles long! That's like walking from your house to the other side of the state! They walked through hot weather, sometimes it rained, and they even had to cross over some big mountains!
People who lived in towns and cities they passed through saw them marching by, and some of them even joined in! Pola's march inspired a lot of people to stand up for what they believe in and to make their voices heard.
So that's what Pola's march was all about, kiddo. Standing up for what's right and inspiring others to do the same, no matter how hard it may seem.
