Polish names

Hi there kiddo! Today, we are going to talk about Polish names.

Just like your name is special to you, Polish people have names that are special to them. In Poland, people usually have three names - a first name, a middle name and a last name.

First names can be anything, just like yours! They can be common or unusual, and sometimes people name their children after family members or someone special to them. Some popular Polish first names are Aleksander, Kasia, Marcin and Zuzanna.

Middle names are a bit different in Poland. They are usually the name of your mother or father. For example, a boy named Jan whose mother's name is Anna, would have the middle name Janowski (meaning "son of Anna"), and a girl named Maria whose father's name is Andrzej would have the middle name Andrzejkowa (meaning "daughter of Andrzej").

Last names in Poland are typically passed down from your family. Unlike in some places where people can choose to take their spouse's name, in Poland you keep your own last name throughout your life. Some common Polish last names include Wąsik, Kowalski, and Nowak.

I hope this helps you understand a little more about Polish names! Remember, everyone's name is special and important, just like you.
