Polyglycylation

Polyglycylation is when a lot of tiny molecules called glycines stick together in a long chain. It's kind of like if you had a bunch of Lego blocks and you put them together to make a really long chain. In the case of polyglycylation, the glycines are attached to a protein, which is a little like a tiny machine in your body that does a certain job.

Polyglycylation can happen in different parts of your body, like in your brain or your muscles. Scientists think that when polyglycylation happens in certain proteins, it helps the protein do its job better. It's kind of like if you added more pieces to your Lego machine and it worked better than before.

Scientists are still learning a lot about polyglycylation and how it affects your body, but they think it could be important for things like your brain development or your ability to move your muscles.
