Pommes dauphine

So, imagine you have some mashed potatoes and some dough. You mix them together to make little balls, like tiny snowballs that are really yummy. Then you fry them in oil until they get a crispy outside and a soft inside. That's called pommes dauphine! They're called that because they're originally from a place in France called Dauphiné. They're a fancy way to snack on potatoes and they taste really good!
