Pope Linus

Okay kiddo, let me tell you about Pope Linus! A long, long time ago, like 2000 years ago, there was a man named Petrus. Petrus was one of the closest friends of another man named Jesus. Jesus was a very important man and people looked up to him a lot.

After Jesus died, Petrus became a leader of a group of people who believed in him. They called themselves Christians. Petrus traveled around and taught people about Jesus and what he taught while he was alive.

Eventually, Petrus became the first bishop of Rome. Rome was a big city and was very important back then. Being the bishop of Rome is a very important job because it means you are the leader of all the Christians in that city.

After Petrus died, another man named Linus became the bishop of Rome. He was kind and wise, and he helped to make sure that the Christians in Rome were doing what they were supposed to do. He was the second bishop of Rome, which is why he is called Pope Linus.

People remember Pope Linus because he was one of the earliest followers of Jesus and helped spread his message to others. He was also an important leader of the Christians in Rome and helped to make sure they were doing things the right way.
