Popular Indigenous Council of Oaxaca "Ricardo Flores Magón"

Okay kiddo, so this is the story of a group of people from a place called Oaxaca in Mexico. They were not very happy with how things were going in their town, especially with the government and how it was treating them.

So, these people got together and decided to form a group called the Popular Indigenous Council of Oaxaca, or CPO for short. They wanted to work together to make things better for themselves and their community.

Now, one of the leaders of this group was a man named Ricardo Flores Magón. He was very smart and had a lot of ideas about how to make Oaxaca a better place. He wrote about his ideas in a newspaper called "Regeneración" and people all over Mexico started to hear about him and his group.

But, the government didn't like what Ricardo and the CPO were doing. They thought they were trying to start a rebellion or a revolution to overthrow the government. So, they sent soldiers to Oaxaca to stop them.

Unfortunately, the soldiers were not very nice to the people of Oaxaca. They arrested and hurt some members of the CPO, including Ricardo. He was eventually sent to jail and died there.

But, even though Ricardo is no longer with us, his ideas and the work he did with the CPO still inspire people today. They continue to work towards making Oaxaca a better place for everyone, especially for indigenous people who have been traditionally marginalized.
