ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Post Pattern

A post pattern is a type of football play where one player runs straight down the field and then cuts towards the middle, or "posts up," near the end zone. It's a way for the player to get open and catch the ball in a good position to score. Think of it like playing horseshoes - you aim for the post (the end zone) to score a touchdown. The quarterback throws the ball to the player running the post pattern, and if all goes well, the player catches the ball and scores a touchdown!
