Post-irony

Post-irony is a term used to describe something that starts off as a joke, but that you start wanting to be true. An example of post-irony might be saying, “Ugh, I hope it rains tomorrow” when you know it really won’t because it's usually sunny where you live. But then the next day it *does* rain, and you feel kind of happy because your wish came true! That's post-ironic.
