Absurdism is a type of idea or thought process that suggests that nothing in life has any purpose or meaning. In other words, it is the belief that nothing matters because nothing has any real value. To understand this idea better, imagine that you are walking in a park and you come across a bird in the grass that has died. You ask yourself why this bird died and what purpose did it serve? This is an example of absurdism because the answer is that there is no answer. The bird’s death might have had a purpose, but you don’t know what it was and you can never know. So, instead of trying to understand the bird’s purpose, it’s more useful (and more accurate) to accept that life is sometimes simply absurd and that nothing has any real purpose or meaning.
