Postpartum bleeding

After a baby is born, their mom's body goes through a lot of changes. One of those changes is that their body gets rid of some blood and other stuff from inside their uterus (the place where the baby was growing). This is called postpartum bleeding.

The bleeding is kind of like a very heavy period. Some moms might bleed a lot for a few days, while others might have lighter bleeding for a few weeks. This is all normal and helps the mom's body heal and get back to how it was before she had a baby.

To help with the bleeding, moms wear big pads that are different than regular pads. These pads are extra thick and can hold more blood. Moms also need to change them pretty often, like every few hours, so they feel comfortable and clean.

It's important for moms to take care of themselves during this time. They need to rest a lot and avoid doing anything too strenuous, like exercising or lifting heavy things. This helps their body heal faster and prevents any complications. If a mom has any concerns or worries about how much they're bleeding or how they're feeling, they should always talk to their doctor or midwife.
