Potential Theory is like a map that helps us understand how things can be connected to each other in a certain way. All the pieces of information on the map can be looked at to try and figure out how things might work or act together. For example, if the pieces of information show that two things are very close to each other, it might mean that those two things interact with each other more than things that are further away. Similarly, if two pieces of information are very far away from each other, it might mean that those two don't interact much with each other.
