Powering Past Coal Alliance

The Powering Past Coal Alliance is a group of countries, cities, and companies that have promised to work together to reduce the number of coal-powered plants they use to make electricity. Coal-powered plants are bad for the environment because they produce a lot of carbon dioxide, a type of gas that causes air pollution and global warming. The Alliance wants to reduce the number of coal-powered plants and use more renewable sources of energy like wind and solar power which don't produce pollution. By working together, the members of the Alliance hope to make the world a cleaner, healthier place.
