Pox party

Okay kiddo, a pox party is where parents used to gather kids who didn't have chickenpox and expose them to other kids who did have it. The idea was that if the kids caught chickenpox at the party, they would all get it at the same time and then be immune to it forever. This was before there was a vaccine for chickenpox. But nowadays, doctors say that it's not a good idea to have pox parties because the risks outweigh the benefits. It's better to get vaccinated and protected from getting sick. Remember, staying healthy is important!
