Pragmatic ethics is a way of thinking about making decisions that balances the practical benefits of an action against the moral implications. It means always trying to do the best you can- both morally and practically- in any situation. It also means considering all the possible outcomes of an action (good and bad) before deciding what's best to do. Agood way to think about pragmatic ethics is that it's like having both a moral compass and a map- you use the compass to know which direction is right, and the map to make sure you'll get where you're going.
