Prague Spring

The Prague Spring was a time in 1968 when the people of Czechoslovakia wanted to make some changes to their government. The leaders of Czechoslovakia wanted to make the country less controlled by the Soviet Union. This made the Soviet Union very angry, so it sent soldiers and tanks to Czechoslovakia to take back control. Many people in Czechoslovakia protested against the Soviet Union and tried to stop them, but the Soviet Union was too strong. Eventually, the Czechoslovakian people had to give up and the government changes they wanted did not happen.
