Okay, imagine you're playing with a toy car. You push it forward, right? That's what pravahana means – pushing something forward. Now let's say you put a little bug on the car and push it forward. As the car moves, the bug moves too – it's going along for the ride. But what if the bug really needed to be somewhere else? It wouldn't be able to get off the car, right? That's where jaivali comes in. Jaivali means the bug can move around on the car while it's moving forward. So even though the bug is technically still on the car, it can move as if it were on its own.
