ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Precision rectifier

Okay kiddo, so imagine you have a toy car and you want to make it go forward no matter which way you push it. That's kind of what a precision rectifier does!

But instead of a toy car, we're talking about electric signals. Sometimes these signals come in waves and we want to make sure they only go up and never go down. That's where the precision rectifier comes in.

It's like a gatekeeper for the signal, only letting the positive part go through and blocking the negative part. This can be really useful for electronics like sensors or amplifiers, because they need to work with signals that stay positive.

So, just like how you push your toy car and it always goes forward, a precision rectifier makes sure your electric signals only go up!
