electric stove

An electric stove is a cooking appliance used to cook food. It uses electricity to heat up special burning elements called heating elements, which are metal coils that get really hot when electricity passes through them. You turn on the electric stove, select the temperature you want with a knob or button, and the electricity passing through the heating elements makes them get hot. You then place a pot or pan on top of the heating elements and the heat from the elements transfers to the pot or pan and cooks the food.
