Predator-prey interaction

Predators are animals that hunt other animals for their food. Prey animals are the animals that predators hunt. Predator-prey interaction is what happens when predators hunt prey. Predators chase and kill prey, and prey animals have to use quick thinking and moves to escape the predators. This interaction is important because it helps to keep both populations of animals healthy and in balance. For example, if there are too many prey animals they may eat up all the food and the population will grow too big. This makes it harder for the predators to find enough food. So the predators will eat some of the prey animals to keep their population in check. This helps keep both populations in balance.
