Predatory open access publishing

Predatory open access publishing is when people or companies pretend to be scholarly publishers and create fake websites that look like real journal websites. They scam researchers out of money by asking them to pay a fee to have their research paper published, but the research paper never actually gets published and no other people get to read it. Predatory open access publishers use tricky words and promises that make it sound like you will be able to publish your paper quickly and easily, but it's actually a scam to get your money.
