Prenda Law

Prenda Law was a law firm that used to sue people for sharing files on the internet. They would often find people who shared these files using the internet, and then they would file a lawsuit against them. Prenda Law said the people they were suing broke copyright laws by sharing files without getting permission first. They then tried to get the people they were suing to pay money to the Prenda Law lawyers to make up for the copyright violation. Prenda Law was shut down because it was found out that the lawyers were sharing the files themselves, and then suing other people for it.
