Priesthood blessing

Okay, kiddo, so a priesthood blessing is when a man who has been given special powers by God called the priesthood, puts his hands on someone's head and asks God to bless that person. It's kind of like asking for a really big favor from a really important person, and that important person is God.

The person who is receiving the blessing can either be sick, sad or just need some guidance from God. So, the person giving the blessing will usually say some nice things to that person to help them feel better, like telling them that they are loved and that God is watching over them.

The idea is that God listens to the blessings and responds to them by helping the person who received the blessing feel better or find guidance.

It's important to remember that the person giving the blessing doesn't actually have any magical powers. It's their faith in God and the power of their words that makes the blessing work. So, it's like a way to ask God to help someone and to show that they care.

Does that make sense to you, little one?
