ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Print reading

Printing reading is like looking at a special kind of picture that shows us how something is made. Imagine you have a recipe to make your favorite cake. The recipe tells you all the steps you need to follow, like what ingredients to use and how much of each ingredient. Print reading is similar to that, but instead of a recipe for making cake, it's a drawing that tells us how to make or build something.

When we look at a print or drawing, we can see different shapes, lines, and symbols. These shapes and lines show us where things should be placed and how they fit together. It's like putting together a big puzzle. The symbols on the print tell us important information, like the measurements of different parts or what materials we need to use.

Prints can be really helpful in many different situations. For example, if someone wants to build a house, they would need a print that shows them how to put all the different parts together, like the walls, doors, and roof. The print would tell them exactly where everything should go and how big each part needs to be. Without a print, it would be very hard to build something correctly because we wouldn't know how everything fits together.

Print reading is like a special language that helps us understand how things are made. It's important to pay close attention to the details in the print and follow the instructions carefully. That way, we can build or make something exactly the way it's supposed to be and avoid making mistakes.
