Privilege log

A privilege log is a document where parties in a legal case list all of the documents that could be considered private or confidential. When two parties are in a court case, each party has to show the other party what evidence they have that proves their case. Sometimes, the evidence they have is supposed to be private, like a lawyer's notes, a medical record, or a sealed document. Documents like this are considered confidential and no other party is allowed to see them unless they have permission. The privilege log is a list that includes all the confidential documents that either party has, so that everyone can make sure the confidential documents stay private.
