Priyayi

Priyayi is a special group of people in Indonesia who were considered to be very important and powerful a long time ago. They were like the "big bosses" of society because they were usually rich and well-educated. Priyayi people were important because they held important jobs in the government, like being a leader or advisor to the king.

Think of Priyayi like superheroes in a special club. They have a lot of power, like the Avengers, because they have important jobs and they are very smart. People looked up to them and respected them very much.

Today, not much exists of the Priyayi culture, but there are still people in Indonesia who remember and appreciate their important history.
