Pro-choice and pro-life

Okay kiddo, so some people believe that everyone should have the choice to decide whether or not they want to have a baby. They call this "pro-choice." This means that a person should be able to choose if they want to have an abortion or keep the baby and become a parent.

But other people believe that every baby should be given the chance to live, no matter what. They call this "pro-life." This means that they think it's not okay to have an abortion because it's like taking away a life.

So both pro-choice and pro-life are ways of thinking about what women should be able to do when they are pregnant. It's a big topic that many adults have different opinions on.
