ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Probability space

Okay kiddo, let's imagine you have a bag full of different colored marbles - red, blue, green, and yellow. Each marble has a different chance of being picked. The probability space is like a big list that tells you all the possible outcomes of picking a marble and how likely each outcome is.

So, for example, if we want to know the chance of picking a red marble, we would write it like this: P(red) = 1/4. This means that there is one chance out of four that we will pick a red marble.

The probability space helps us figure out the chances of different outcomes. It uses numbers (fractions or decimals) to show how likely something is to happen. It's like making a plan before we start picking marbles, so we know what to expect.

But remember, even if something has a low chance of happening, it can still happen! That's what makes probability and chance so interesting.
