ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Process safety

Process safety is like making sure you don't get hurt when you're doing something like baking cookies. You have to be really careful and follow all the instructions so that nothing bad happens, like putting your hand on a hot stove or accidentally eating something you shouldn't.

In companies, process safety is when they make sure nobody gets hurt while they're working with chemicals or machines. They make sure everything is done the right way and that all the safety rules are followed. This could include wearing special clothes or gloves, keeping things clean, or making sure machines are working properly.

It's important to have process safety because if something goes wrong, people could get hurt or even die. Just like how if you don't follow the recipe for your cookies, they might not turn out right, or worse, someone could get hurt from eating them.

So remember, just like when you're baking cookies, it's important to always be safe and follow the rules when working in a company with chemicals or machines!
