Proctalgia fugax

Proctalgia fugax is a condition that causes sudden and brief pain in the lower part of your stomach or butt. It usually only lasts a few minutes and usually happens in the middle of the night. It is caused by tightness in the muscles of the butt or lower stomach and can be quite painful. You may not even know what the pain is or what caused it. There is no cure, but the pain usually goes away by itself.
