monologue

A monologue is when one person speaks for a long time and nobody else talks. It is like a one-person show. It is usually done in plays, movies, and television shows, but it can also be done by yourself, like when you talk out loud to yourself in your head. In a play or movie, when a character does a monologue, it often reveals something about that character. Monologues can also be used to tell a story.
