ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Product lining

Okay kiddo, so do you remember how sometimes when you go to the store to buy something, there are many different versions of that thing available? Like different flavors of ice cream or different colors of Legos? That's called product lining!

Product lining is when a company makes a bunch of similar products that are all related to each other in some way. They might have different features or options, but they all fit into the same general category.

For example, a company that makes shoes might have a product line of running shoes. They might have different styles of running shoes with different colors, materials, or support options, but they all have something in common because they're made for running.

Having a product line lets companies offer more choices to their customers. People might have different preferences or needs, so by offering a variety of products within a product line, a company can make sure they have something for everyone.

Does that make sense, kiddo?
