ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Proportional hazards models

When you get sick and go to the doctor, they may give you medicine to help you get better. But sometimes, different people need different amounts of medicine to get better.

The proportional hazards model is like a way for doctors to figure out how much medicine you need to get better. They look at lots of different things - like how old you are, how healthy you are, and what kind of sickness you have - and use all of that information to decide how much medicine you should get.

Once they figure out how much medicine you need, they can give you just the right amount to help you get better quickly and safely. It's like they're matching the right amount of medicine to the right person, based on lots of different information.

This can help doctors keep their patients healthy and make sure they get better as quickly as possible!
