Prosodic unit

Okay kiddo, let me explain Prosodic Units to you. Well, when we talk or read, we break our speech or text into smaller parts. Those smaller parts are called Prosodic Units. It helps us to understand and communicate better.

Just like when we read a storybook, we use our voices to read in different ways, like when we lower our voice at the end of a sentence, and how we raise it during a question. These changes in our voice or speech are also called Prosody. And, when we read a storybook, we break up what we are reading into smaller sentences or phrases, and those smaller parts are the Prosodic Units.

So, in simple terms, Prosodic Units are the smaller parts of speech or text that we use to communicate better, and to make it easier for our listeners or readers to understand us.
