Proto-Australoid is a scientific term that refers to a group of people who lived a very long time ago in a part of the world that we now call Australia, but also in other places like Southeast Asia and the islands in the Pacific Ocean.
Imagine a long time ago, before cars and airplanes existed. People looked different depending on where they lived and what they ate. Proto-Australoids were some of the first people who lived in that part of the world, and they looked different from the people who came after them.
Proto-Australoids had very dark skin and hair. They were also shorter than many other groups of people and had different facial features. Even though they looked different, they were very smart and creative. They made tools out of rocks and sticks to help them hunt and gather food.
Eventually, other groups of people came to the same part of the world and mixed with the Proto-Australoids. This meant that over time, their features started to blend and change. But we can still look at their bones and artifacts and learn about the Proto-Australoid people. Scientists study them to better understand how we all came to look the way we do today.
