Proto-Canaanite alphabet
The proto-canaanite alphabet is like a secret code that people who lived a long time ago used to write down words. Just like you learn your ABCs in school, they learned their letters too! But their letters were a little different than ours.
Their alphabet was made up of lots of little shapes and lines, kind of like the way you draw a picture using different shapes. They would use these shapes and lines to make words by putting them together in different ways.
The proto-canaanite alphabet is really special because it was one of the first alphabets ever created! People in a place called Canaan, which is now the area where Israel and Palestine are located, made it over 3000 years ago.
Even though we don't use this alphabet anymore, it helped people communicate and share ideas a long time ago. And who knows, maybe one day you will create your own alphabet that people will use in the future!
