ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Proxy voting

Proxy voting is when someone who can't be present at a meeting or an election chooses someone else to vote for them. For example, if you are away on vacation so you can't attend a meeting, you could give someone you trust the authority (or “proxy”) to vote on your behalf. The person you ask to vote in your place is called a proxy voter.
