Psaltery

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen those musical instruments that you play with strings and you pluck them with your fingers? That's called a psaltery. It has a long rectangular shape and it is usually made of wood.

On the psaltery, there are strings that make different sounds when you pluck them. Some psalteries have lots of strings while others have only a few.

You can play music on a psaltery by plucking the strings with your fingers or with a small stick called a bow. The sound of the psaltery can be beautiful and calming, just like a lullaby.

And just like how flowers come in different colors, psalteries can also come in different shapes, sizes, and colors too.
