ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Pseudoalgebra

Ok kiddo, do you know what algebra is? It's when we use letters and symbols to solve math equations, like x + 2 = 5. Well, pseudoalgebra is a type of algebra that doesn't use just letters - it also includes things called pseudovariables.

Pseudovariables are like little boxes that can hold numbers or other things. So instead of just saying x + 2 = 5, we might say (box1) + 2 = 5, and we can put any number we want into that box to solve the equation.

Pseudoalgebra can be really helpful in a lot of different situations, like when we're working with a lot of different variables or when we want to keep certain things constant while we solve equations. It can also be a bit trickier than regular algebra, though, since we have to keep track of all those extra boxes.

But don't worry, with a little practice and patience, you can become a pseudoalgebra pro in no time!
