Publicity can help them get more friends or make more money.

To get publicity, companies and famous people use things like TV commercials, newspaper articles, and social media posts. They want to make sure everyone knows about their new thing so they can buy it or talk about it with their own friends. Sometimes they do special events, like concerts or product launches, to get even more publicity.

But just like when you talk to your friends and they might not all like your favorite toy or cartoon, not everyone will like the thing a company or famous person tells everyone about.
