Puffery

Puffery is when people use big fancy words to describe a product or a service that makes it sound really good, but they don't actually say anything that can be proven true or false. It's like when someone says "the best pizza in the world" or "the softest blanket ever made". They are just trying to make their stuff sound better than it really is. Puffery is not the same as lying because they are not saying something that is not true, they are just exaggerating to try and make their thing seem better than everybody else's. It's important to be aware of puffery so that you can make sure you're not falling for false advertising.
