Ok kiddo, so there is a big piece of land in South America called the Puna de Atacama. Two countries, Chile and Argentina, both claim some parts of this land as their own. They are having a disagreement, called a dispute, about who gets to control those parts of the land. They are trying to work it out peacefully, but it's not easy because both countries really think they should have control of that land. It's like when you and your friend both want to play with the same toy, but there is only one toy, and you both really want it. But instead of fighting, Chile and Argentina are talking and arguing to try to figure out a fair way to share the land.
