ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Qadr (doctrine)

Qadr is sort of like a super important idea in Islam that talks about how Allah knows everything and has already determined what will happen in the future. It’s kind of like a big puzzle that only Allah knows the answer to, and everything that happens in the world is just a piece to the puzzle.

So basically, people believe that Allah has already determined what’s going to happen and that we can’t change it no matter what we do. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do our best and try to be really good people! We should still make good choices and be kind to others even though Allah already knows how everything will turn out.

Some people might think this idea is a little scary or unfair because it means we don’t have control over our own lives. But others believe it’s actually comforting because it means everything that happens is part of Allah’s plan and there’s a reason for it, even if we don’t always understand it.

Overall, qadr is a really important idea in Islam that talks about how Allah knows everything and has already determined what will happen in the future, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep trying to be good people and make good choices.
