Qibla

Ok kiddo, have you ever seen a map of the world? Well, Muslims have a special place that they need to face when they pray called the qibla. The qibla is the direction of the Kaaba, which is located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The Kaaba is a holy building that Muslims believe was built by Abraham and his son Ishmael thousands of years ago.

So, every Muslim needs to know which direction the Kaaba is from where they are praying. In the past, people would have to use the sun and other objects to figure out which way was the direction of Mecca. But now, we have special devices like a compass or even an app on your phone that can show you which way to face.

Muslims believe that facing the qibla during prayer helps them feel more connected to Allah and the tradition of their religion. So, it's a pretty important thing to know and remember!
