Okay, so imagine if you and your friends all lived in different houses and each of you had your own rules for how things should be done in your house. Well, back a really long time ago in China, there were also different groups of people who had their own rules for how they did things. These groups were called states, and one of them was called Qin.

Qin was a state that was pretty powerful and had a really big army. They were really good at fighting and also had some really smart leaders. They were able to take over some of the other states and grow their power even more.

One of the really famous leaders of Qin was a guy named Qin Shi Huang. He was the first emperor of China and did a lot of things to try and make Qin even stronger. He built huge walls to protect the state and connected smaller walls into what we now know as the Great Wall of China.

Qin Shi Huang was also kind of strict and he made a lot of rules that people had to follow. For example, he made everyone use the same language and have the same money so that it would be easier to trade with each other. He also made everyone use the same measurement system and follow the same laws.
