Quantitative methods

Okay kiddo, so quantitative methods means using numbers and math to help understand things.

Let's say you want to find out how many people like chocolate ice cream. You can't just ask a few of your friends, because that might not be enough to really know if most people like chocolate ice cream or not.

Instead, you can do a survey where you ask a lot of people if they like chocolate ice cream or not. You can count up how many people say yes, and how many say no. Then you can use math to figure out what percent of people like chocolate ice cream.

That's an example of how quantitative methods work. It's all about using numbers to get a better understanding of things. Scientists and researchers use this kind of thinking to learn about all kinds of stuff, from how animals behave to how people make decisions.
