Quarters (game)

Quarters is a fun game that people play with a coin called a quarter, which is worth 25 cents. The game is usually played on a table.

Here's how it goes:

1. The players sit around the table and take turns trying to bounce the quarter off the table and into a cup or a shot glass at the center of the table.

2. To play, you hold the quarter between your thumb and your fingers.

3. Then, you flick your wrist and let go of the quarter, making it fly off your fingers and bounce on the table.

4. The goal is to make the quarter bounce off the table in such a way that it goes into the cup in the center.

5. If you manage to make the quarter land inside the cup, you score points. Usually, each player takes multiple turns until one of them reaches a certain number of points to win the game.

But wait! There are some rules to follow:

1. If the quarter doesn't make it into the cup, the next player gets a turn.

2. If the quarter bounces off the table and touches any other player's hand or fingers before hitting the cup, they get a penalty point.

3. The players need to pay attention because if a player starts preparing to flick the quarter and another player shouts "slam," they have to try to slam their hand on top of the quarter before the person flicking it lets it go.

4. If a player successfully slams their hand on the quarter, the person flicking it gets a penalty point.

5. If a player flicks the quarter and it flies off the table without touching anything, they don't usually get a penalty, but they also don't get any points.

6. It's important to be careful while playing because, if the quarter accidentally hits someone or falls on the floor and makes a loud noise, the person responsible might get a penalty point.

So, the game continues with each player taking turns, trying to make the quarter land inside the cup, and avoiding penalties. The first person to score the required number of points wins the game!

Remember, it's just a game, so have fun and enjoy playing with your friends!
